Terms That Keep Us Driving Forward

By downloading, installing, or using DriveVision, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms form an agreement between you and DriveVision.

DriveVision is an iOS dashcam app. It uses your device's camera and microphone to record driving footage, keeps a rolling buffer of recent video, and can display driving information such as speed and location when you grant permission. Recordings are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded automatically; they stay on your device unless you choose to export, share, or save them elsewhere. DriveVision is not a safety, emergency, law-enforcement, insurance, or legal-evidence service.

Your safety and the safety of others always come first. Do not set up, adjust, watch, or otherwise interact with DriveVision while driving. Mount and configure your device before you start driving, and always keep your attention on the road. You are solely responsible for operating your vehicle safely and obeying all traffic laws.

Recording, privacy, and dashcam laws vary by location. You are responsible for knowing and complying with all laws that apply to you, including rules about recording video and audio, capturing other people, and mounting devices in your vehicle. You are responsible for obtaining any consent the law requires before recording.

You are responsible for the recordings you create and for anything you do with them, including footage you export, share, upload, or save elsewhere. Once you share or export a recording, it is your responsibility to handle it in line with applicable laws and the privacy of others.

You agree not to misuse DriveVision. You may not use the app for unlawful purposes, attempt to disrupt or interfere with it, reverse engineer it, bypass security, or access it in an unauthorized way. You may not use the app to harass, harm, or violate the rights or privacy of others.

DriveVision lets you sign in with Google, Apple, or an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and account secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Your use of Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple is also subject to Google's or Apple's own terms and privacy policies.

DriveVision is evolving, and some features may be labeled “coming soon,” offered as a beta, or changed, limited, or removed over time. Advanced features such as object detection and other machine-learning capabilities are not available or are disabled in this version. We do not guarantee that any particular feature will be available at a given time.

DriveVision depends on your device, storage, permissions, and other factors outside our control. We do not guarantee that footage will always be captured, saved, retained, or of any particular quality, or that recordings will be accepted as evidence by any insurer, court, or authority. Always verify that recording is working when you rely on it.

DriveVision is not a safety, emergency, law-enforcement, insurance, or legal service, and it does not provide legal, insurance, or safety advice. Do not rely on the app in an emergency. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

DriveVision and its content, features, design, and branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our permission. The recordings you create with the app belong to you.

DriveVision relies on third-party services to provide sign-in and supporting functionality, including Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Remote Config. Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or for changes they make.

You may stop using DriveVision at any time, delete your account from within the app, and delete the app. Deleting your account removes your stored profile and account data along with your locally stored recordings. We may suspend or end your access to the app or its features if you violate these terms or misuse the app. Some terms, by their nature, continue to apply after you stop using the app.

DriveVision is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will meet your requirements, and we disclaim all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DriveVision and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, recordings, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the app — including any incident, accident, or dispute related to your driving.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of DriveVision after an update means you accept the revised terms.
